Ultra-Brite is an exterior/ interior biodegradable wood cleaner and brightener. Renews and restore's decks, siding, wood furniture, railing and other natural wood surfaces. Very effective on "bleeding" woods such as redwood, cedar, cypress, mahogany and fir. These woods have tannins which migrate to the surface causing unsightly stains. Although sodium hypochlorite (chlorine bleach) is a popular cleaner, it removes some of the natural color and richness of the wood. Ultra-Brite will restore and revive the surface WITHOUT harming it. Ultra-Brite is very effective as a neutralizer after you use strippers.

Instructions:
Mixture will depend on what works best for your application. Apply liberally to wood surfaces with a pump sprayer. Apply from the bottom up to avoid streaking.Once it is applied you may begin to scrub with a soft bristle brush (do not use a wire or natural bristle brush). Rinse thoroughly with hose or pressure washer. A pressure washer will show the best results, however, do not exceed 500 PSI. Please read and follow label directions.MOLD BLASTER is the “safest” way to clean a deck, it is recommended to pre-wet, and rinse the surrounding work area and vegetation to ensure no damage occurs. If stubborn areas remain, repeat the 3 step application process. Coverage Rate: 100 - 300 sq. ft. per gallon.

READY-TO-USE: Pour Injectable Safe-Strip into container.1 gallon makes 5 gallons, 5 gallons makes 25 gallons. Apply liberally to wood surfaces. Best application results are with a pump sprayer. After application, always keep working area moist during surface preparation.
Once applied you may begin to scrub (NO SCRUBBING NECESSARY WITH USE OF PRESSURE WASHER). When scrubbing applied area, use synthetic, stiff bristle brush; do not use a wire or natural bristle brush.

DESCRIPTION:"ULTRA-KLEEN" wood cleaner & brightener is a powdered concentrate that is mixed with water. "ULTRA-KLEEN" is an environmentally friendly product that safely cleans, brightens, and restores the natural beauty of exterior and interior wood. Unlike chlorine bleach based cleaners, "ULTRA-KLEEN" is biodegradable and will not harm wood fibers, pets, grass, or most plants.
USES:"ULTRA-KLEEN" wood cleaner removes dirt, grime, mildew stains, previous loose coatings (not paint) and weathered graying from horizontal and vertical wood surfaces. "ULTRA-KLEEN" is recommended for surface preparation prior to application of, or re-application of clear finishes and stains. For best results use MENCO Water Repellent Wood Finishes.
NOTE: "ULTRA-KLEEN" will darken Redwood. The California Redwood Association recommends using a solution of Oxalic Acid in water to clean and brighten Redwood or use "ULTRA-BRITE" by MENCO prior to application of water repellent stain.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: For new wood-use 6oz. (3/4 cups) of "ULTRA-KLEEN" powdered concentrate with each gallon of water. For weathered and stained wood-use 1-1/2 cups of "ULTRA-KLEEN" powdered concentrate with each gallon of water. For maximum cleaning ambient temperatures should be 50 degrees or above.
STEP 1 * MIX: Mix with water and stir thoroughly until powder is mostly dissolved. Powder dissolves faster in warm water. Solution should be used within six hours of mixing.
STEP 2 * APPLY: Horizontal Surfaces: Dampen surface with water before application. Apply wood cleaner solution with sprayer, brush, or mop, working on small areas, (20-30 sq. ft.) at a time.
Vertical Surfaces - Dampen surface with water before application. Apply with a pump up type hand sprayer, working on small areas at a time. Begin at the bottom and work to the top.
STEP 3 * BRUSH IF NECESSARY: Horizontal Surfaces - Let solution stand approximately 10-15 minutes, keeping area wet with additional "ULTRA-KLEEN" solution. Thoroughly scrub with a stiff, short bristle broom or brush if necessary.
Vertical Surfaces - Let solution stand approximately 10-15 minutes, keeping surface wet with additional "ULTRA-KLEEN" solution. Solution should be applied from the bottom up to avoid streaking. "ULTRA-KLEEN" will open wood pores. Some raising of wood fibers may occur. Remove fibers before applying finish.
STEP 4 * RINSE: Rinse surface thoroughly with water. Repeat steps 2-4 on the next small area. Rinse cleaned area of vertical surfaces as work progresses to avoid streaking. Allow wood surface to thoroughly dry 4 to 6 days (on horizontal surfaces it may take longer) before applying MENCO sealants or water repellent wood finishes. A moisture meter reading must be 18% or lower (cedar/redwood/cypress should be 12% or less moisture). If reading is higher than 18% wait several days and test again, if reading is at 18% or lower then test with a few drops of water. If water is absorbed rapidly, the surface is ready for product application; if not, wait 2 weeks and test again. "Fill holes with caulking before staining." Heavily weathered or soiled surfaces may require a second application; or use "ULTRA-BRITE" to remove heavier stains and or water stains.
COVERAGE: One gallon of "ULTRA-KLEEN" cleans and restores 150-200 square feet area. HEALTH, SAFETY AND HANDLING: Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Harmful if swallowed. Solution will not harm grass and is safe for most plants. Rinse grass and plants thoroughly with water after exposure. It is a good idea to pre-wet all vegatation before starting cleaning process. For more information, consult the Material Safety Data Sheet. Caution: Accumulation of product on ladders, scaffolding, decks, etc. may result in a slippery surface. LIMITED WARRANTY: MENCO warrants ULTRA-KLEEN wood cleaner and deck cleaners to be free from defects. MENCO’S liability shall be limited in all events to supplying enough product to retreat the specific areas to which the defective product has been applied or the cost to replace the defective product. This warranty specifically excludes labor or costs of labor. USES: Cleans and restores exterior/interior wood, including siding and pressure-treated wood. (On siding, use a deep-nap roller to apply and a power washer to remove.) Nail Stains: Removes rust stains so nails can be countersunk and filled in with putty. This will stop stain from reappearing. VINYL SIDING, ALUMINUM SIDING, STUCCO, PLASTIC and FIBERGLASS SURFACES: Cleans and re-stores to a uniform appearance. Use same directions as for wood, only rinse off immediately after rubbing to avoid a dull surface.
COVERAGE: Ultra-Brite will clean 200 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on condition and porosity of surface. Rough-cut wood uses more than smooth wood.
NECESSARY SUPPLIES: Ultra-Brite, garden hose with nozzle to pre-wet the substrate, garden sprayer to apply Ultra-Brite, stiff bristle broom or brush. Pressure washer to be used with a maximum pressure of 1000 PSI. Use lowest pressure that cleans without damaging the surface. Wear rubber gloves and goggles.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
1. PREPARE SURFACE: Clean dirt and debris off surface. Pre-wet the surface and the surrounding vegetation to ensure no damage occurs.
2. MIX: 1 cup of Ultra-Brite concentrate to 1 gallon of warm water. Product should be mixed in a plastic container. Pour contents into a plastic garden sprayer and apply from the bottom up. Test a small area before overall application.
3. WET THE SURFACE: Use a garden hose to thoroughly dampen surface.
4. APPLY AND SCRUB: Spray or brush Ultra-Brite liberally over the wet and cool surface. Always apply cleaners from the bottom up. Let set for 5 to 10 minutes then Scrub surface with stiff broom or scrub brush. NOTE: Scrubbing is not needed if a power washer is used, PSI 1000.
Ultra-Brite will suds and clean the surface. DO NOT ALLOW PRODUCT TO DRY ON THE WOOD. Keep surface wet with mixture if necessary. If product is oversprayed onto plants, rinse plants with water immediately. Foliage may droop but no lasting damage will occur. Keep product from metal and painted surfaces when applying.
5. RINSE OFF SURFACE: Clean off Ultra-Brite with water. Use a garden hose with maximum pressure on nozzle ( a pressure washer can be used at between 500 and 1000 PSI). If not used properly a pressure washer can damage wood.
6. STUBBORN AREAS: Repeat steps 3,4 and 5 with full strength Ultra-Brite on severely
discolored areas or old stains.
7. DRYING AND SEALING: Allow surface to completely dry for 6-7 days (longer in cool weather). Apply MENCO PREMIUM WATERPROOFING SEALER to complete the restoration and protection of porous surface.
8. CLEANUP: Thoroughly wash all equipment with water. Wash hands.
9. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Keep from moisture & freezing. Dispose of remaining product according to local regulations.
10. PROTECTION: Eye goggles and gloves are recommended during application.
