Product Description
World renown Two Cherries produces a premium quality hand forged gouge that's popular with carvers but also with cabinetmakers who find the out-cannel gouge a very useful tool for trimming convex surfaces, for coping and paring cuts and for those occasions when you need to add some final decorative touches to that furniture master piece. This line of Two Cherries Out-Cannel Firmer Gouges features comfortable and sturdy Hornbeam handles shaped in the traditional Continental European style and thick mirror polished blades that are ground with the bevel outside (like standard carving gouges) giving an inside cutting edge. Each tool is carefully forged, correctly hardened and tempered, then hardness-tested to guarantee a minimum hardness of Rc 61. The blade on this particular gouge has a width of 6mm (1/4"), a curvature corresponding to Sweep No. 7 and a length of 5" including the neck. Overall length is 10". Expertly crafted in Germany by Two Cherries.
